Our Jacket Potato Appeal has been a huge success. Around 400 coats, hats, scarves, and gloves have been donated to St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral.
The P&J interviewed Fr Terry again at St Mary’s on Wednesday 30th November: Fr Terry reported that: “We’re running out of space; it’s been a great response and it couldn’t have gone any better”.

Fr Terry went on to say: “People are more pleased with the fact we’re giving it away for nothing, I think that’s struck a chord with a lot of people.”
The quality of the donations is very good. Fr Terry made the point that: “People have been so generous, and they’ve put a lot of thought into what they’ve given us.”
The clothing will be available for anyone to choose (one coat, hat, scarf, and pair of gloves per person) on Saturday 3rd December (from 10am to 3pm).
There will be jacket potatoes and hot drinks available for free to all that visit us.
“Whoever has two coats, let him give to him who has not, and whoever has food should do likewise.” (Luke 3:11)
