During the recent development of the St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral website our designer Stuart Smith of Alt Ten Interactive created a new logo based upon the Rose window in the west elevation of St. Mary’s. The brand colours reflect the colours of the building materials used in the making of the Tartan Kirkie.
The St Mary’s design team were very pleased with the new brand and thought it would be good to exploit this new logo on other printed media. John Cooke suggested that we might consider designing our own Christmas cards with the creative help of Stuart. We initially thought we would try using photographs of St Mary’s for the cards – but we just didn’t have the right kind of images available. So, Stuart experimented with the logo image itself and created these lovely Christmas cards which have baubles based upon the logo design.
The Christmas cards have been printed using the most environmentally friendly approach and are available in four versions – two using our brand colours and two using a brighter set of colours. The cards can now be purchased in packs of 10 for a suggested donation of £8 or individually for a donation of £1 per card. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral.
If you would like to buy some St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral Christmas Cards but are not planning to attend any services over the next few weeks just send an email to Fr Terry and we’ll arrange to have the cards delivered to your door.
