On Sunday the 22nd of January, Fr Roger and I represented the Scottish Episcopal Church at the Three Cathedrals Service, which was this year, hosted by St Machar’s Cathedral. This was an ecumenical celebration of Christian Unity.
Together with St Machar’s Rector, the Reverend Sarah Brown (Church of Scotland), and Bishop Hugh Gilbert OSB, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney, we were able to show a united front in our Christian values. The wonderful music and choir were complimented by the very impressive setting of the St Machar’s building.
It was an honour to be part of this service and I was pleased to see many members of St Mary’s congregation in attendance.
